Shannon was raised as a competitive dancer in Garner, North Carolina, training under Julliard trained professional, Richard Patten, until she graduated high school. Shannon went on to earn her BFA in Dance Performance at East Carolina University in December 2017. At ECU, she trained under Galina Panova, Dirk Lumbard, Tommi Galaska, John Dixon, David Ingram, Teal Darkenwald, and Danielle Sheather. In college, Shannon had the opportunity to perform works by guest choreographers from Koresh Dance Company and Schoen Movement Company. She was also able to work with guest artists from BodyTraffic, Parsons Dance, and Tiffany Rae Fisher to name a few. Shannon is just as passionate about performing as she is about educating future dancers. Shannon participated and studied Dance Education courses and internship opportunities while at ECU as well. She has been teaching for about 9 years and choreographing Regional and National winning competition routines for dancers of all ages.
Since moving to Orlando after graduation, Shannon has been a part of Universal Orlando's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's, the Orlando Predators Dance Team, and Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. She is excited to refine her performance skill set with The Walt Disney World Company in Entertainment in the beginning of 2020.
